Invisible Children
The Invisible Children documentary really touched me. After seeing it , I realized that I take way too much things for granted. As I went into the cafeteria, I thought to myself , "look at all the food choices that I have for lunch". In Uganda those children couldn't even sleep at night without worrying for their lives. What is happening there is tragic. No child or young person should have to go through such horrible experiences. And to think that a regular adult is promoting this and pushing it to go on. I couldn't begin to imagine what fear and hope these children have from day to day. Also what the young people from our country are doing to raise awareness the young children of Uganda is amazing. The courage and bravery that they have to actually travel into danger and meet these children is tremendous. It is good to know that there are still people that are caring and sensitive to anyone's situation. When I saw that young man Tony, in the film, doing his homework in a flooded cave with only one light source which was a candle made me appreciate the day to day supplies that I take for granted. It also made me think that there is no excuse for me missing an assignment.(lol) I hope that what is going on in Africa will eventually stop. It has so many valuable resources and is the mother land to all humans. Hopefully the children there will be able to sleep in peace and not worry about becoming child soldiers or killed.
